The Intersection of Dark Art & Japanese Animation
At Phantom Tattoo Studio, we don’t just "copy" frames from a screen; we translate them into timeless body art.
Whether you are looking for a manga panel of the Phantom Troupe or a high-contrast, multi-session anime sleeve, Alyssa’s approach is centered on "The Contrast Principle." By utilizing deep "Void" blacks and intentional negative space, your tattoo maintains its clarity and "pop" for years to come—avoiding the muddying often seen in traditional grey-wash work. Her apprentice, Devon takes a gothic ornamental approach to art. Specializing in dark lettering, high contrast blackwork, and patiently crafted pointillism art.

Alyssa | Master of the Monochrome Narrative
Alyssa founded Phantom Tattoo Studio with a singular vision: to provide a high-end, specialized sanctuary for Kansas City’s most discerning collectors. With a background deeply rooted in anime and gaming pop-culture, and a lifelong obsession with high-stakes Shonen, Alyssa has spent years perfecting a style that is as sharp as a needle and as deep as Nen.
Her reputation in the Kansas City tattoo scene is built on a foundation of technical excellence and a "client-first" creative process. Alyssa believes that a tattoo is more than just ink; it’s a narrative. She works one-on-one with every client to ensure that each character’s personality and impact are perfectly balanced to fit the natural flow of the body. When you sit in her chair, you aren’t just getting a tattoo—you’re collaborating with an artist who understands the anime subculture as well as the craft.
The Phantom Protocol
Your Experience From Concept to Ink
Getting a custom piece at Phantom Tattoo Studio isn't a transactional experience—it's a collaboration. To ensure every piece of wearable art meets our artists elite standards, we follow a strict four-stage protocol
I. The Request (The Inquiry): You submit your idea through our secure booking form. Give us the character, the specific manga panel, or just that concept floating around in your head.
II. The Blueprint (The Conversation): If your project is a good fit to be booked, we will continue with an email consultation. Here, we map out the sizing, flow, and composition to perfectly fit the anatomy of your body.
III. The Execution (The Session): Step into our private, moody studio space in Brookside. Equipped with a tv for all your anime needs, snacks to keep you going, and a relaxed environment to help you get tattooed comfortably.
IV. The Evolution (The Aftercare): True art takes time to settle. We equip you with a specialized, minimalist healing regimen to ensure your tattoos remain crisp for decades.
